On the topic of hypnosis for weight loss, watch my video. Then... Instead of going into the theory and practice of how hypnosis or guided meditation works for weight control, or cutting out those foods and behaviors that stand in your way, let's rather do something fun with your imagination. Are you up for it? It may be uncomfortable or you may be pleasantly surprised by what you find.


Step 1: Look at the picture in the background. Imagine for a moment that this vague image is of a dream that you once had, of being on a sandy beach. In the distance, peacefully at ease with herself in space and time, and oblivious of any people around, was a woman doing yoga in the sun. The image isn't perfectly clear. But imagine that you can remember being there... 

Step 2: Imagine clearly how you are there, and imagine you can see how your body casts a shadow. With your focus on that shadow ... let this idea of your shadow, remind you of something about you. It may help to close your eyes for a few moments while you concentrate on this idea of you seeing this woman and seeing your shadow, and being reminded about something of yourself.

"Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept it Off


Reviewed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioral therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis. Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of those not receiving hypnosis and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended."
